Are you hoping to learn strategies to minimize nipple pain and damage, while improving your milk supply? Do you want to feel confident from the beginning of your breastfeeding journey?

Please join us for this monthly Breastfeeding Preparation Class, where we will prepare you for your best breastfeeding experiences possible. Partners and support people are welcome to join if possible.

Private and group classes available, attend in-person or by zoom.

Home Visits & Breastfeeding Support

From nipple pain to supply concerns, nursing marathons to mastitis, we want to help you with your breastfeeding challenges! We offer 15-minute phone consultations free of charge, where you can talk to one of our Breastfeeding Counsellors, and decide if you would like to access further support. We also offer home visits, or a 60-minute virtual visit with a Breastfeeding Counsellor. We believe that breastfeeding takes practice, and that mothers were not meant to learn breastfeeding alone. We also believe that with compassionate, non-judgmental support, most women can thrive in their breastfeeding experiences.

MotherTree Circles & Meet-Ups

There is an incredible interconnectedness between Mothers; we flourish when we feel the support of others around us. Through our monthly MotherTree Circles, you will have the opportunity to connect with a circle of wise Mothers, who can offer their wisdom and support. We offer 2 monthly meet-ups, to uplift & nourish your mamma heart.

Breastfeeding Mammas! Please don’t struggle alone. If you are experiencing breastfeeding challenges, please contact us for a free 15-minute phone call with a breastfeeding counsellor. Our join one of our Kelowna Breastfeeding Community Circles, held the 2nd Wednesday of every month.

  • Hand Expression & Breast Compressions

Hand expression is a term in the breastfeeding world, used to describe using your own hands as a gentle and sensitive breast pump. You can use hand expression to release drops of colostrum onto your nipple. And in a similar way, you can compress extra colostrum or breastmilk directly into your baby’s mouth, while they are breastfeeding.

  • The BabyMoon: Going Back To Basics

We spend so much time preparing for the birth, preparing the baby room, preparing meals, getting all the baby gear etc.

The babymoon is where we get to integrate, to enjoy, to relish in this new experience. It’s going back to basics, simplifying, just being.

  • Breastfeeding & Mental Health: What is the Connection?

For the majority of Mothers, breastfeeding can be protective for their mental health. But for Moms with significant breastfeeding challenges, breastfeeding can trigger some mental/emotional challenges. And then there is the dysphoric milk ejection reflex or D-Mer… Please read on, for more information.

“When we as a society begin to value Mothers as the givers and supporters of life,  then we will see social change in ways that matter”. ~Ina May Gaskin
